1. Who we are & what 2AM is
2AM (“2AM,” “we,” “us”) operates 2am.social and the 2AM mobile and web apps — a nightlife social and dating platform where you can discover venues and events, share what your night looks like, crew up with friends, and meet new people. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the app and all related features.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use 2AM. Your continued use after we post changes means you accept the updated Terms.
2. You must be 18 or older
2AM is strictly for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use any part of the app. We do not knowingly allow minors on the platform, and accounts found to belong to anyone under 18 will be removed. By using 2AM you represent that you are 18 or older and legally able to enter into this agreement.
3. Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of your profile, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for all activity that happens under your account. Provide truthful information — impersonation, fake profiles, and misrepresenting your age, identity, or photos are prohibited and may result in removal. One person, one account; do not sell, share, or transfer your account.
Notify us promptly at support@2am.social if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Acceptable use & the Community Guidelines
Our Community Guidelines are part of these Terms and describe what is and is not allowed. In short: treat people with respect, post only content you have the right to share, and don't use 2AM to harass, deceive, exploit, or harm others. You agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, stalk, dox, or impersonate anyone.
- Post hateful, violent, sexually explicit, or non-consensual content.
- Solicit, scam, run financial schemes, spam, or advertise without permission.
- Use the app for prostitution, trafficking, drug sales, or any illegal activity.
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or attack the service, or evade bans and safety tools.
- Upload malware or attempt to access data or accounts that aren't yours.
5. Your content & the license you give us
You own the content you create — your posts, photos, comments, messages, and profile. You keep that ownership. To run the app (display your posts in feeds, deliver your messages, generate previews, and back things up), you grant 2AM a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display your content solely to operate and improve the service. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies retained in routine backups or as required by law.
You are responsible for your content and confirm you have the rights to post it. We may remove content that violates these Terms or the law.
6. Safety & meeting people in real life
2AM helps you connect, but we do not conduct criminal background checks on users and we do not vet the venues, events, or people you encounter. You are solely responsible for your interactions. Use good judgment: meet in public, tell a friend where you're going, and never send money to someone you haven't met. Report unsafe behavior in the app or to safety@2am.social. If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
7. Subscriptions & purchases
Some features are paid. Prices, billing cycles, and what's included are shown at the point of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel anytime and keep access through the end of the paid period. Payments are processed by Stripe or the applicable app-store billing system; purchases made through an app store are also subject to that store's terms and refund policies. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable.
8. Suspension & termination
You may stop using 2AM and delete your account at any time from Settings → Privacy & Data. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, the Community Guidelines, or the law, or that create risk for other users — with or without notice depending on severity. Some provisions (content license remnants in backups, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute terms) survive termination.
9. Disclaimers
2AM is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, that content posted by users is accurate, or that you will make any particular connection. Nothing here limits rights you have under applicable consumer-protection laws.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, 2AM and its team are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your interactions with other users, venues, or events. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the product and the law evolve. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Please review this page periodically.
